NavTraffic collects data from transportation departments, police and emergency services, traffic sensors and cameras, airborne reports, and other sources. Accurate information is dependent on locating, verifying, and reporting incidents as soon as they occur, and then transmitting the information to your navigation system’s display.

Many of the traffic sensors and probes have inherent reporting delays of up to 20 minutes. We are constantly improving the accuracy of our traffic data. SiriusXM transmits updated information as soon as we receive it. It typically takes less than two minutes for the traffic information we receive to appear on your navigation system screen.
