I'm having trouble listening to SiriusXM on my Amazon Alexa device. What should I do?

An active, qualifying subscription is required. See below for resolutions to some issues you may experience while streaming SiriusXM with your Amazon Alexa. Please contact Amazon customer service if you need further assistance.

To re-enable the SiriusXM Alexa skill, you will need to:

  1. Disable the SiriusXM skill in the Alexa mobile app.
  2. Have your SiriusXM streaming username and password ready.
  3. Enter your SiriusXM login information to link your streaming account with Alexa.
  4. Enable the SiriusXM skill from the Alexa mobile app.
  5. Continue listening by telling Alexa to play your favorite SiriusXM channels, shows on demand, or Pandora Powered Stations “on SiriusXM”.

Can't link accounts or seeing a white screen after linking: A qualifying streaming subscription is required. Remember that logins are CaSe SeNsItIvE and ensure you've typed in the correct login without extra spaces. Using the alexa.amazon.com desktop site may help with inputting your information. If that's not an option, reinstalling the Alexa app (or upgrading, if you have an old version) may fix the issue.

I have linked my account and Alexa still tells me to link my account, or I have enabled the skill and Alexa tells me the skill is not enabled: You may be using an Echo device that supports household profiles and may not have linked SiriusXM to the primary account on the device. If you do have household profiles enabled, make sure to switch to the profile that you used to log into SiriusXM. If you are not using household profiles, please contact Amazon customer service.

Playback stops unexpectedly: If SiriusXM stops playing on your Alexa device, please ensure your login is not currently being used in another location. The most recent device to be logged in will be the one that is able to play SiriusXM online. Your username and password can be linked to more than one device - but can only be actively used on one device at a time. Re-start playback of your most recently playing channel by saying "Alexa, Play SiriusXM.". If Playback continues to stop unexpectedly, contact Amazon Customer Service.

You reset your SiriusXM Streaming username or password via the Online Account Center or from within the app or Web Player: You'll need to (1) Go to the SiriusXM skill in the Alexa app. (2) Disable the SiriusXM Alexa skill. (3) Re-enable the skill. (4) Enter in the current SiriusXM streaming login credentials.

  • Please note that you will need to repeat this process each time you update your username and/or password.
