Getting Started

  1. Install the SiriusXM app on your Android device from the Google Play Store.
     

    • Note: A cellular data plan is required to stream without Wi-Fi.
       

  2. Connect your device to your Android Auto-enabled radio.
     

    • Use USB or wireless connection as supported by your vehicle.
       

    • For detailed instructions, visit Google’s Android Auto support page.
       

  3. Ensure you are logged into the SiriusXM app on your Android device.
     

  4. Select SiriusXM from the Android Auto dashboard interface.
     

Using the Product

Navigation – August 2025 Updates

  • Home – New landing page.
     

  • For You (now the 2nd tab) includes:
     

    • Live sports – appears if 1 or more live games are currently available
       

    • Live news, politics, and issues – curated news channels
       

    • Talk channels for you – recommended talk content
       

    • Essential new music – personalized music recommendations
       

    • Shows & podcasts for you – recommended talk and podcast content
       

  • Library – Now a main tab (previously a sub-menu under For You).
     

Daily Usage

  • Start SiriusXM streaming via the Android Auto interface each time your device connects to your vehicle’s Android Auto-enabled radio.
     

  • Customize your experience by managing favorites and settings directly in the SiriusXM app.
     

Advanced Features & Settings

  • Sync your SiriusXM profile and preferences across multiple devices.
     

Troubleshooting

 

Issue

Solution

Device won’t connect to Android Auto

Verify compatibility, cable connections, and refer to Google’s Android Auto support page: https://support.google.com/androidauto/.

SiriusXM streaming issues

Ensure cellular data or Wi-Fi connection is active

Page loading issues

  1. Disconnect from Android Auto

  2. Quit the SiriusXM app on your phone (if open)

  3. Open the app on your phone

  4. Connect to Android Auto again

  • My Android Auto screen won't let me scroll channels.
  • The scroll bar and A-Z icon is missing on my Android Auto screen.
  • When I tap a 'View All' tile on Android Auto the page is empty.
 
  1. Open your Android device and navigate to your device's Settings page (not SiriusXM settings, but your device settings )

  2. Scroll to the Apps menu item and open it

  3. Select Android Auto from your device Apps list

  4. Select Storage

  5. Select Clear data and confirm

This will clear your Android Auto connection (connection between your device and vehicle). You will need to reconnect your device to your vehicle next time you want to use Android Auto. It will not log you out of SiriusXM or any other platform.

  • Check connections and maintain clean USB ports for optimal performance.
