As a courtesy, if we receive notice that you have sold or traded in your vehicle, we will unlink that sold vehicle from your plan and notify you by mail and email.
When this occurs, your subscription remains active and you can continue to stream service through the SiriusXM app, but you’ll no longer be able to listen in the vehicle until you link a new radio (vehicle) to your plan. Unlinking a radio from a plan neither cancels or modifies it. You can, however, link a new radio to your plan. To do so, sign in to the Online Account Center, locate the plan on your My Account Dashboard or in your Plans section, and select the Link a Radio option.
From here, you will be asked to enter the Radio ID for your new radio. Follow the prompts to finalize linking your new vehicle to your existing service.
*Unlinking will not occur in all cases. Selling or trading your vehicle or unlinking your vehicle from your subscription does not cancel your subscription. Some subscriptions are only eligible for or compatible with certain radios (vehicles), and service may not be transferable to another radio (vehicle). Visit the Online Account Center or contact us for help in managing your subscription when you sell or trade in your vehicle.
