What is a Platinum Companion Plan?

A Platinum Companion Plan is a complimentary subscription available to select SiriusXM subscribers who have a full-price Platinum subscription on their account. This Companion Plan gives you an additional Platinum level subscription that can be added to another vehicle in your household and an additional SiriusXM app login.  

How do I get a Platinum Companion Plan?

Receipt of a complementary Companion Plan is subject to the sole discretion of SiriusXM.  

How do I activate my Platinum Companion Plan?

To activate your Companion Plan, simply log in to your online account and follow the instructions provided. Companion Plans have been pre-loaded on to qualifying accounts and are ready to activate in a few simple steps.

What does a Platinum Companion Plan cost?

Companion Plans are totally complimentary and are provided at no additional cost. 

How long will I have a Platinum Companion Plan?

You can keep your Companion Plan as long as you maintain at least one active Platinum plan at full price on your account. The Companion Plan is connected to your account. Your Platinum Companion Plan is dependent on maintaining an active full price Platinum Plan in good standing on your account. If you lose eligibility for any reason, your Platinum Companion Plan will not be reinstated, even if you later return to a qualifying full-price Platinum subscription. 

Will I keep my Platinum Companion Plan if I change or cancel my subscription?

Your Platinum Companion Plan is dependent on maintaining an active full-price Platinum subscription on your account. If you cancel, modify or downgrade your full-price Platinum plan, your Platinum Companion Plan will automatically end. Once cancelled or deactivated, Platinum Companion Plans cannot be reinstated.

Can I transfer the Platinum Companion Plan to a different vehicle/radio?

Yes, you may transfer or link your Companion Plan to another enabled vehicle/radio on your account.  The vehicle/radio must be on your account and must be enabled to receive the SiriusXM service.  You cannot transfer the plan to a vehicle/radio on another account.

Does the person who uses my Companion Plan gain access to my account?

No, you remain the sole authorized account holder and can manage what vehicle/radio is associated with your Platinum Companion Plan via the Online Account Center.

What if I don’t see a Platinum Companion Plan in my account?

Receipt of a complimentary Companion Plan is subject to the sole discretion of SiriusXM. Not all accounts are eligible. If your Companion Plan is cancelled or deactivated the Companion Plan cannot be reinstated.  

Why do I need to use a different email address for the SiriusXM app?

Each app login requires its own email address and password. As the account holder you must set up all login credentials for subscriptions on your account.  Login verifications and password reset requests for all subscriptions on your account will be sent to the primary email address on your account. 

 

Can I change my Platinum Companion Plan to a different plan?

No. If you modify (upgrade or downgrade) your Platinum Companion Plan you will lose the complimentary service.  

 

What does it mean to have a full-price Platinum Plan in good standing and how does it affect my Platinum Companion Plan?

Having a full-price Platinum Plan in good standing means your account has an active, regularly billed Platinum subscription plan at the standard (non-discounted) rate, with all payments current and no holds, suspensions, deactivations or cancellations. You must continue to meet all eligibility requirements. Maintaining this status is required to keep your Companion Plan. If your full-price Platinum Plan falls out of good standing for any reason, your Companion Plan will be terminated and may not be reinstated. Any misuse or abuse of the Companion Plan will result in termination of the complementary service. 

Where can I review the offer details for the Platinum Companion Plan?

DETAILS:  A complimentary Platinum Companion Plan (“Companion Plan”) is available only to select SiriusXM subscribers with an active, full-price Platinum subscription (“Qualifying Plan”) on the same account. Receipt of a Companion Plan is subject to the sole discretion of SiriusXM. You can keep your Companion Plan only as long as your Qualifying Plan remains active and in good standing on your account, which requires all payments to be current and there are no holds, suspensions, service deactivations, cancellations, or any instances of account abuse or misuse. Failure to maintain the Qualifying Plan in good standing will result in the automatic cancellation of the Companion Plan, which will not be reinstated, even if you later resume or re-purchase the Qualifying Plan. You will lose your Companion Plan if you make any changes to the plan other than transferring the service to another device on your account. SiriusXM may modify, suspend, or end the Companion Plan program at any time and for any reason, and may deny or revoke a Companion Plan on any account at its sole discretion. If SiriusXM decides to end the Companion Plan program, notice will be provided, and you will not be entitled to any form of compensation. The Companion Plan must remain on the same account as the Qualifying Plan. The Companion Plan is non-transferable, has no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash or credit and may not be combined with any other offer or account. The terms of SiriusXM Customer Agreement and Privacy Policy apply. Limit one (1) Companion Plan per account/household, regardless of the number of Qualifying Plans.
